Home Delivery Network Limited (HDNL), the UK’s largest dedicated home delivery and collection service, today announced the appointment of Mike Snell as Sales and Marketing Director.
Snell joins HDNL from Asda Wal-Mart where he was Commercial Director for Entertainment with responsibility for the General Merchandise part of their business. Snell brings significant retail and customer expertise and joins HDNL at a time when it is relaunching and broadening its service proposition to reflect the future needs of the internet shopper.
HDNL’s Chief Executive, Brian Gaunt said: “I am pleased to attract someone with Mike’s retail experience to the business, to help us build relationships with our clients and work with them to establish better value and consistency of service delivery through their ecommerce supply chains.
Snell joins Mark Blundell, former Chief Financial Officer for George Global, in a newly formed ‘retail focused’ executive team headed by Brian Gaunt, himself a former executive at Asda Wal-Mart.
Snell said: “I’m delighted to be joining HDNL at this exciting time. With the continued growth in online retail my role will be to make sure that we continue to help our existing and prospective clients develop their service propositions to the internet market, to improve their supply chains and to grow their businesses.”
This appointment comes shortly after HDNL announced a contract win for online fashion retailer Asos.com. HDNL are launching a number of new service offerings this year including an SMS ‘text’ pre-advice and a broad range of timed delivery services.
